The city of Bordeaux
The city of Bordeaux, at the heart of the wine-growing region, is a port city on the River Garonne in south-western France. It is famous for its Gothic cathedral of Saint-André, its manor houses built in the 18th and 19th centuries, and its art museums such as the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux. The public gardens follow the curves of the quays along the river. The Place de la Bourse, at the centre of which stands the Trois Grâces fountain, is reflected in the water mirror.

The Pilat Dune
Located at the southern entrance to the Arcachon Basin, it stretches 616 m from west to east and 2.9 km from north to south, and contains around 55 million cubic metres of sand, in the town of Pyla-sur-Mer, which is administratively part of the municipality of La Teste-de-Buch, near Arcachon, in the heart of the Landes de Gascogne.
Cordouan lighthouse
The Cordouan lighthouse was built over four centuries ago on a rocky islet in the open sea, at the entrance to the Gironde estuary. Sometimes referred to as the “lighthouse of kings” or the “king of lighthouses”, it is distinguished from other lighthouses by its extraordinary history.
